Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Mark-Paul Gosselaar will lead a star cast for Fox’s adaptation of Justin Cronin’s epic trilogy that starts with The Passage.

The Pitch star will be joined by Saniyya Sidney (Hidden Figures), Genesis Rodriguez (Time After Time), Brianne Howey (The Exorcist), BJ Britt (Agents of SHIELD) and Jennifer Ferrin (Hell on Wheels) as series regulars. Liz Heldens has written the pilot, which will be directed by Marcos Siega. It will be shot in Atlanta this month.

The Passage is described as “an epic, character-driven thriller that morphs into a post-apocalyptic odyssey, which spans over a century and is told across two timelines”. The story focuses on a 10-year-old girl named Amy Bellafonte (Sidney) who must save the human race. Gosselaar will play an FBI agent, who balks at kidnapping Amy, who has been targeted for an unholy government experiment and goes on the run with her with an army of feds on his heels.
