Blair Witch reboot’s Adam Wingard is being lined up to direct Legendary’s Godzilla vs Kong, due for release in 2020.

A writers’ room headed by Pirates of the Caribbean’s Terry Rossio has been working on the script – according to The Hollywood Reporter, others involved include Sense8/Babylon 5’s J. Michael Straczynski and Star Trek Beyond’s Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne.

This will be the fourth movie in Legendary’s monster cycle, which began with Godzilla; the next movie will be Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is currently filming.
