SHIELD will continue to fight its battle, and the fairytale continues on ABC next season.

Both shows’ futures had been in doubt, but Agents of SHIELD is a very useful platform for Marvel/Disney to promote other parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; however it may be working with a reduced budget for the fifth year. Season 7 of Once Upon a Time will be something of a “reset” for the show, with star Jennifer Morrison departing and the focus shifting onto Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle, Colin O’Donoghue and the incoming Andrew J. West. Co-creator Adam Horowitz recently commented that “by the end of the season finale, a lot of what we’ve been doing for the last six years is wrapped up — we hope in a very satisfying way — and then we move forward in a way that at the end of it, hopefully you’ll see what we’re hoping to do in season seven.”
