Incorrigible rogue and conman Harcourt Fenton Mudd is returning to the Star Trek universe.
The character, played by Roger C. Carmel in the original TV series and the animated spin-off, will now be played by Rainn Wilson in Star Trek: Discovery, continuing to build the connective tissue between the 2017 series and its 50-year old predecessor.
Star Trek Discovery will start later this year on CBS All Access in the US, and Netflix elsewhere in the world.
