Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Grimm star David Guintoli and Unfortgettable’s Poppy Montgomery have been cast as the stars of CBS’ new near-future pilot Mission Control.

The project was created by The Martian’s Andy Weir and produced by the film’s Simon Kinberg. The series centres on the next generation of NASA astronauts and scientists “who juggle their personal and professional lives during a critical mission with no margin for error.” Montgomery will play the flight director, Julie, for the Durga Mission. Giuntoli plays astronaut Stevenson, the Durga Mission’s commander. The pilot is written by Weir and directed by Jeremy Podeswa. Nestor Serrano and Levi Fiehler have already been cast.
