Justin Cronin’s The Passage trilogy has come one step closer to a series, with Fox confirming a pilot order.
The script has been written by Liz Heldens, with Planet of the Apes’ Matt Reeves executive producing alongside her and Adam Kassan via 6th & Idaho, and Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker via Scott Free Productions. Creator Cronin is created as a co-producer.
The Passage starts as a character-driven government conspiracy thriller and becomes a post-apocalyptic saga with vampires. The planned series spans over a century and focuses on a young girl named Amy who must save the human race.
