ferrerRobocop, Twin Peaks and most recently NCIS: Los Angeles star Miguel Ferrer has died aged 61 from throat cancer.

From an entertainment background, Ferrer appeared in many genre films and shows over nearly forty years, featuring as Bob Morton in Robocop, and Lloyd Henreid in the TV version of The Stand. He also was in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and was the lead in the adaptation of King’s The Night Flier. He played Albert Rosenfeld on Twin Peaks, also appearing in the feature prequel and the 2017 revival of the show.

He had a long running role in Crossing Jordan and since 2012 has appeared as Assistant Director Owen Grainger on NCIS: Los Angeles, on which his character recently said he didn’t have long to live, and was stabbed in the most recently aired episode.
