Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Although no official renewals were given for The Exorcist or Scream Queens by Fox as part of their announcements at this month’s TCA, it was confirmed that neither show has been cancelled.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Madden and Gary Newman told the press that further seasons of both shows, as well as Wayward Pines, were under consideration, and that there are discussions underway as to how a second series of The Exorcist could be “broadened”.

Fox also hopes to have further episodes of The X-Files on screen in 2018, and the executives hoped that there would be more than six in the twelfth series – although no deals have been signed yet with the key personnel.
