All four of Greg Berlanti’s superhero shows – including the transplanted Supergirl – will be back next year, the CW has confirmed, as will Supernatural.
Speaking at the TCA tour, CW Mark Pedowitz noted, “Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas. Early pickups of these seven series [including Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfirend] now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.” Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow enter their third seasons; The Flash its fourth; Arrow its sixth; and Supernatural its thirteenth.
As had been expected, neither Frequency or No Tomorrow have been picked up; neither had received extra episode orders, but will play out their original 13.
