Composer Marco Beltrami will be continuing his association with Wolverine.

It had been reported that Cliff Martinez had been set to score the final film to feature Hugh Jackman as the mutant, but director James Mangold has announced that Beltrami is carrying out the duties. Beltrami also scored Jackman’s last solo mutant movie, The Wolverine.

Mangold has also confirmed that he’s not aiming Logan at a general audience. “Logan is an attempt to bring an end to Hugh’s amazing line of performances as Wolverine, and the ambition of doing that is to try and make an ‘adult film’ about Wolverine. To make a movie for grownups…. We’re trying to make a movie that stands out and is different because it’s kind of a grownup drama that also features intense action.”
