Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

The full trailer for the latest reboot of the Mummy franchise starring Tom Cruise has been unleashed.

“Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.”

Boutella and Cruise are joined by Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe in the latest retelling of the myth that sees an ancient princess return from the grave and cause havoc – including many scenes set and shot in London. Released 85 years after the first film in the franchise, this new Mummy is part of the new interlinked Universal monsters series of movies.

The Mummy is due for release in summer 2017.
