Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, the continuation of the Prometheus/Alien saga, will be hitting screens nearly three months earlier than anticipated.

Fox has announced that the movie will now be released on May 19, 2017 rather than August 4. Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender return from Prometheus, alongside Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston and Danny McBride. According to the offcial synopsis, released last year, this is the second chapter in an Alien prequel trilogy, with the colony ship Covenant discovering a paradise world on the far side of the galaxy, only to learn it’s actually a dangerous world whose only inhabitant is Fassbender’s synthetic, David.
