John Landis’ classic horror tale An American Werewolf in London is getting a 21st century makeover courtesy of his son, Dirk Gently’s Max Landis.
Max Landis will write and direct the reboot for Universal Pictures, who recently acquired the rights to the 1981 original and its belated sequel, An American Werewolf in Paris. John Landis will be one of the executive producers on the movie with The Walking Dead’s David Albert and Robert Kirkman producing.
Rick Baker won his first Academy Award for his work on the original film.
