Currently best known for co-creating Preacher, which has had a successful run on AMC, Dillon’s art graced hundreds of different genre pieces, with his early work for Marvel UK including creating the Dalek Killer Absalom Daak for Doctor Who Weekly. His stories appeared in 2000 AD before his move to America where his work graced multiple titles, including Hellblazer and Preacher as well as the Punisher for Marvel, much of which was co-created with Garth Ennis.
His brother Glyn anounced the news in at tweet on October 22: “Sad to confirm the death of Steve, my big brother and my hero. He passed away in the city he loved (NYC). He will be sorely missed. Cheers x”
