Political zombie thriller BrainDead won’t be returning next summer.

CBS announced that it – alongside family drama American Gothic – would not be getting a second season order. The news isn’t a surprise since show creators Michelle and Robert King recently signed up to helm The Good Wife spinoff on CBS All Access which has been moved up the schedules following the delays to Star Trek Discovery. This means that Zoo is the only CBS summer series to get a pick up.
