The MTV version of the Scream franchise will be returning for a six-episode third season, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
A two-hour special Halloween episode will air on October 18 which will serve to change the location of the show for its third (and possibly final) year. Michael Gans and Richard Register will take over as showrunners for the new season. No details on the cast for the third year has yet been revealed, given that the Halloween special is meant to be something of a gamechanger.
