Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

The idiosyncratic life of Wonder Woman’s creator William Marston is going to be the subject of a new biopic, Professor Marston & The Wonder Women, according to a report at Deadline.

The film wil star Luke Evans as the Harvard psychologist and inventor, with Rebecca Hall as his wife and fellow psychologist Elizabeth, and Bella Heathcote as Olive Byrne, one of Marston’s former students with whom they were in a polyamorus relationship. Marston created Wonder Woman in 1941 with input from both women, and the pair remained a couple after Marston’s death in 1947. The movie will deal with the many accusations levelled against Wonder Woman regarding the effect of her sexuality on young readers.

The biopic is written and directed by Angela Robinson, and has just entered production. Sony has acquired worldwide rights.
