Julian McMahon, who played Doctor Doom in the 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four movies, has joined the cast of BBC America’s Dirk Gently.
McMahon will play Patrick Spring, a multi-millionaire pivotal to the eight-part murder mystery series, according to Deadline. Jessica Lowndes will also join as Jake Rainey, a character described as the “supreme soul” and leader of the evil Men of the Machine. Dirk Gently begins on October 22 on BBC America and comes to Netflix outside the US in December.
