Ben H. Winters’ apocalyptic trilogy The Last Policeman is coming to NBC, produced by Preacher’s Neal Moritz.
The trilogy follows the efforts by a policeman in the months before an asteroid is going to hit Earth and wipe out humanity. As chaos spirals around him, he continues to do his job.
Winters will write the adaptation of the Philip K. Dick Award winning novels himself. NBC has given a put pilot commitment. Winters is also working on an adaptation of his recent alternate history novel, Underground Airlines.
