Star Trek and Lost composer Michael Giacchino will be handling scoring duties on the first standalone Star Wars movie, Rogue One.
According to a story at The Hollywood Reporter, he is replacing Alexandre Desplat as only the second composer ever on the big screen saga following a change in the scoring schedule after the reshoots on the film earlier this year.
Giacchino has scored movies for all of Disney’s various divisions, with his Marvel debut Doctor Strange coming in November.
