game-of-thrones-season-6-poster-teaserHBO’s Game of Thrones has lost none of its appeal to award votes, putting on an excellent showing at the first night of the Creative Emmys.

With over eighty categories, the Creative Emmy Awards are now held over two evenings. Game of Thrones won Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non Prosthetic), Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Costumes for a Period/Fantasy Series, Outstanding Production Design for a Contemporary or Fantasy Program, Outstanding Stunt Coordination, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series an Outstanding Sound Mixing.

Other genre shows also snagged awards. American Horror Story: Hotel won Outstanding Makeup for a Limited Series or Movie (Non Prosthetic) and Outstanding Costumes for a Contemporary Series. The Man in the High Castle won Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Cinematography for a Single Camera Series.

Jessica Jones had Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music;  Sherlock: The Abominable Bride won Outstanding Visual Effects.
