Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Agents of SHIELD star Adrianne Palicki is heading over to Fox to join Seth MacFarlane’s new SF comedy drama.

According to the report at Deadline, MacFarlane will play Ed, the captain of the Orville, which is described as “a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar fleet”. Palicki will play MacFarlane’s character’s ex-wife, Kelly Grayson, the newly appointed First Officer of the Orville. Scott Grimes will also appear in the series as Gordon, the ship’s pilot.

Palicki has been playing Bobbi Morse on SHIELD for the last two seasons, and co-starred in Marvel’s Most Wanted, the proposed spin-off which wasn’t taken to series by ABC earlier this year.
