After much speculation, the CW has confirmed that former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter will be returning to the DC small screen universe, playing the President on the new season of Supergirl.
Carter is set to appear in multiple episodes and will first appear in the third episode of the show’s second season, which begins on October 10 in the US.
Carter is one of a large number of “former superheroes” on the show – Lois & Clark’s Superman Dean Cain plays Kara’s adoptive father, the 1984 Supergirl Helen Slater is her adoptive mother, while Smallville’s Supergirl Laura Vandervoort played a villain last season.
