It looks as if the days of networked Marvel shows may be numbered with ABC refusing to move forward with Marvel’s Most Wanted, and cancelling Marvel’s Agent Carter.

This leaves just Agents of SHIELD flying the Marvel flag on the main networks at a time when the Netflix shows featuring the MCU are becoming increasingly popular.

Agent Carter executive Chris Dingess tweeted: “Super excited for #AgentCarter Season 3! Lots of great ideas… Huh?… Oh…oh…uh… Thanks to all the great fans! It was fun!” Poor ratings sealed the show’s fate, combined with ABC’s pick-up for Hayley Atwell’s new series, Conviction.

Most Wanted, which featured Adrianne Paliacki and Nick Blood reprising their roles as Bobbi Morse and Hunter from SHIELD, has not gone beyond the pilot stage. It would seem likely that the pair will return to the main series, although it’s not yet known whether the events of the pilot will be folded into the show’s continuity.
