“They like to get the landmarks,” Jeff Goldblum notes as he’s once again a passenger caught up in a battle against the aliens. To mark Earth Day (April 22nd), Fox has released a new trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, which arrives on June 23rd.

Mixing footage of the original characters – as played by Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Brent Spiner and Vivica A. Fox – with the new ones (Liam Hemsworth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward), the trailer displays some of the aliens’ new abilities as they return to Earth 20 years after their first failed attack.
