Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

Watchmen and Robocop remake star Jackie Earle Haley will be juggling two comic book roles over the coming months – he’s already filming as Odin Quincannon in Preacher, and now he’s going to be in Amazon’s reboot of The Tick.

Haley will be playing the Terror, described as “our world’s epitome of the criminal mastermind, a hooded ancient villain barking at his minions whose incredible will power and tenacity have powered an underworld syndicate for decades”.  The part was played by DS9 and Buffy star Armin Shimerman in the 2001 version of the series.

According to Deadline, Haley will additionally be appearing in Nikolej Arcel’s movie of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, playing “Sayre, a menacing humanoid who is the vampire leader and kowtows to no one.”
