A new trailer for DC’s Suicide Squad was shown during the MTV Movie Awards and has now been released by Warner Bros.

Setting up the premise (“Who would stop Superman?” – haven’t we just had a huge movie about this?!) it focuses on the various bad guys brought together as a last line of defence.

The trailer includes confirmation of at least one other superhero’s presence in the movie and does suggest that even before the current crop of reshoots, the film has a lighter edge than the two most recent contributions to DC’s movie universe.

Suicide Squad is released on 5th August.
