“The world needs the X-Men” – and that certainly does seem to be the case if the new trailer released by Fox is anything to go by.

Including an explanation of Apocalypse’s backstory, and hinting at the differing sides on which the X-Men will find themselves, the trailer briefly showcases many of the new actors in the familiar roles.

X-Men Apocalypse, directed by Bryan Singer, opens in May.
