Max HardyMad Max: Fury Road made an impact at the 2016 Academy Awards, walking away with the highest number of trophies on the night.

The reboot of the post-apocalyptic series garnered 10 nominations and won for six of them: Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.

Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall” from SPECTRE won Best Original Song. Ex Machina achieved Oscar glory for Best Visual Effects and Inside Out was Best Animated Feature.
