Slocombe RaidersLegendary cinematographer Douglas Slocombe has passed away at the age of 103 following a fall.

Renowned for his work with Steven Spielberg on the first three Indiana Jones movies, Slocombe began his career as a Director of Photography on Ealing’s Dead of Night with his last credit on Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade forty-four years later in 1989. His other credits include the renegade Bond picture Never Say Never Again, the Saturn-Award winning version of Rollerball (on which he worked with Norman Jewison for whom he had shot Jesus Christ Superstar), and many of the classic Ealing movies including Passport to Pimlico, Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Man in the White Suit and The Lavender Hill Mob.

He was nominated for three Oscars, and won three BAFTAs.
