Freddie Stroma’s H.G. Wells will be chasing after Josh Bowman’s Jack the Ripper in Kevin Williamson’s new pilot of Time After Time for Warner Brothers.

The proposed series will use both Karl Alexander’s 1979 novel and the movie version directed by Nicholas Meyer as its starting points, as Stroma’s HG Wells moves forward in time in hot pursuit of Bowman’s John Stevenson, who has been hiding his secret identity as the world’s best known serial killer from Victorian society.

Unusually both English characters are being played by English actors – Stroma, who appeared in the Lifetime series UnReal, will soon be seen in Game of Thrones as Dickon Tarly, while Bowman has been a regular on Revenge.
