Some three years after it started to be shopped around, the TV pilot version of The Exorcist has found a home at Fox.

Described as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession and confronting the face of true evil”, the script is by Jeremy Slater who will also executive produce the pilot. The original 1973 film was based on the book by William Peter Blatty (recently adapted for BBC Radio) was followed by two sequels as well as two different versions of the same prequel film!
