The proposed continuation of the Terminator Genisys timeline seems to have reached a premature conclusion.

According to a report at Deadline, the sequel to the underperforming latest reboot of the saga has quietly disappeared from the Paramount schedule. Due to be released on May 19, 2017, its slot has been taken by the Baywatch movie. It now seems as if the various plot threads set up won’t be dealt with before rights to the series revert to James Cameron.
