TNT are not proceeding with their TV series based around DC’s Teen Titans.

“We decided it wasn’t where we wanted to go,” TNT president Kevin Reilly explained at the TCA tour, despite having been upbeat about the idea back in May. The pilot was written by veteran superhero scribe Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes and would have featured Dick Grayson (aka Robin) who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new superheroes including Starfire, Raven and many others.

TNT are moving into “darker, edgier” subject matter.
