KellerFargo star Rachel Keller seems set to be playing the female lead in FX’s new TV pilot Legion, based around Marvel’s X-Men universe.

According to the report at Deadline, Keller will be seen as a “scrappy, optimistic woman in her 20s” involved in the case of David Haller (based on the character of Legion, Charles Xavier’s son, in the original comics). Fargo producer Noah Hawley is the writer and executive producer of the pilot alongside Bryan Singer, producer Lauren Shuler Donner, writer/producer Simon Kinberg, Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, John Cameron and Steve Blackman.

Legion is just the sort of ambitious story that Noah excels at,” FX’s Nick Grad noted when the pilot was ordered. “His adaption of Fargo for television was one of the most acclaimed television events in recent memory. It’s also an honor to partner with Marvel on Legion and to enlist such an accomplished team of Executive Producers to create this pilot.”

Keller has been seen as Simone Gerhardt in Fargo’s second season, and has also appeared on Supernatural.
