Omega Factor publicity image webBig Finish’s revival of the cult BBC classic series The Omega Factor has reached the finals of the prestigious BBC Audio Drama Awards.

The story The Old Gods, written by Phil Mulryne and directed by Ken Bentley, is one of three finalists for the Best Online Only Audio Award, competing with Hood: King’s Command, by Spiteful Puppet Entertainment Ltd and The Kindness of Time, by Rosie Boulton.

The BBC Audio Drama Awards celebrate the range, originality and cut-through quality of audio drama on air and online and give recognition to the creativity of actors, writers, producers, sound designers and others who work in this genre. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in the Radio Theatre at BBC Broadcasting House London on the evening of Sunday 31 January 2016.

Updated 1st February: Unfortunately The Omega Factor did not win, losing to The Kindness of Time.
