Lost’s Javier Grillo-Marxuach is expected to be scripting the reboot of Xena, Warrior Princess.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grillo-Marxuach will be creating a “new, modern Xena” who has the charisma of original lead Lucy Lawless – who is not involved with the new project currently – and elements of Katniss from The Hunger Games franchise. He will executive produce the series with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert.

NBC are hoping to have the new series out in 2016.
