The teaser trailer for the third of the Star Trek reboot films was intended to accompany the new Star Wars film but has been released early by Paramount.

Set to a track by the Beastie Boys, it seems closer to director Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious roots and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy than the Trek of recent films.

Star Trek Beyond opens July 22, 2016.
