Martin E. Brooks, who played Doctor Rudy Wells in both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, has died aged 90.
Although Brooks didn’t originate the role (Martin Balsam played Wells in the pilot and Alan Oppenheimer took over for the early years of Steve Austin’s adventures), he became best known as Wells, appearing on both bionics shows alongside Richard Anderson as Oscar Goldman, and reprised the role for the three TV movies that followed.
A respected stage actor, Brooks also appeared in other genre screen outings, including the Planet of the Apes TV series and the movie Colossus: The Forbin Project.
