Danny Elfman is composing a new piece to complete his score for Tim Burton’s Alice, which will premiere at the Royal Albert Hall on 12 December.
“I felt that something big and dynamic deserved to play out the end of the concert so I wrote something completely new to play from the end of Alice’s Theme to the very end of the credits,” the composer explained. “London will be the first time this will be performed.”
The high-definition screening will have live orchestral and choral accompaniment from the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the Maida Vale Singers and the Cardinal Vaughan School Schola Cantorum, all conducted by John Mauceri, with Elfman in attendance.
