Eve and Humans, the two genre shows about humanoid robots, are in contention for Broadcast Awards 2016.
The CBBC series Eve, co-created by Emma Reeves and David Chikwe, has been shortlisted for Best Children’s Programme, while the E4 show Humans, starring former Merlin Colin Morgan, is up for Best Drama Series or Serial. Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror special White Christmas has been listed for Best Single Drama.
Reeves told Sci-Fi Bulletin, “Congratulations to all of the brilliant Eve team. It’s a great honour to be nominated alongside so many high quality shows. I’m delighted to see that Humans has also been nominated. As Jane Asher’s character Mary would say, this proves that androids are the future.”
The winners will be announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 10 February 2016.
