Scream’s Kevin Williamson has set up a new time travel series at ABC based on Karl Alexander’s novel Time After Time.
The original novel was published in 1979 and its storyline was the basis of Nicholas Meyer’s feature film of the same year, which saw H.G. Wells pursue Jack the Ripper across time to modern day San Francisco. Alexander wrote a belated sequel, Jaclyn the Ripper, which was published in 2011. Williamson will write the script and will executive produce Time After Time which will follow the adventures of Wells and the time machine that he invented.
