Susan Sheridan, the original voice of Trillian in The Hitchhikers’ Guide to the Galaxy, has died aged 68.
According to a post by Dirk Maggs, Sheridan passed away peacefully at home on August 8th. She was cast by Douglas Adams and Geoffrey Perkins for the first series of the radio series, a role she reprised for Maggs’ adaptation of the final three books of the “trilogy in five parts”, as well as on stage for the Live Tour.
She also played the voice of Noddy in adaptations of Enid Blyton’s stories as well as many other children characters, including the young David in the BBC version of The Chrysalids and Princess Eilonwy in The Black Cauldron.
