There will be a second season of Sense8, the genre-spanning drama created by J. Michael Straczynski and the Wachowskis.

The news was confirmed by the cast on the NetflixUS twitter feed on August 8: “Birthdays are just the beginning. #sense8 is reborn.” They also posted a video which can be seen here

JMS noted, “Well, here we go again.  Now we just have to make it even better and bigger than the first season”
