DW5D14S_IterationsofI_Disc1_1417The Scribe Awards, given by the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers, were announced at Comic-Con on July 10th.

A number of genre stories were successful: John Dorney’s Iterations of I, from Big Finish’s Fifth Doctor Box Set, won Best Audio; Alex Irvine’s adaptation of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was Best Adapted Novel; Christa Faust’s Fringe novel Sins of the Father was joint Best Original Novel – Speculative with James Sutter’s Pathfinder: The Redemption Engine.

John Dorney told Sci-Fi Bulletin, “It was a huge honour to be nominated among such illustrious names, and even more so to win. I’d like to thank everyone who worked on the story, both behind and in front of the microphone, for making me look good.”
