Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

According to reports emanating from Comic-Con, current Batman star Ben Affleck and comics veteran Geoff Johns are teaming up to write a standalone Batman movie, which Affleck will both star in and direct.

Deadline suggests that the movie would reflect the version of the character to be seen in Batman vs Superman and the Justice League films, and would be shot after Affleck completes work on his adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s Live By Night.

Johns’ list of screen credits includes work on Smallville, Arrow, The Flash and the upcoming Supergirl.
