Promoting his new movie Inside Out, Kyle MacLachlan spoke to Collider about his other genre work, noting that filming on the new Twin Peaks series is expected in the autumn.

Calling the revival of the 1990s series “really exciting and unexpected,” MacLachlan noted that “It’s all still under lock and key… I’ve read a little bit, and it is marvellous. There’s nothing I can really say or talk about, but I’m excited.”

MacLachlan also noted that he would enjoy a return to Agents of SHIELD if asked. “We haven’t really spoken about it, so I don’t know what to expect. I think they left the door ajar for him. He’s still around. He’s in a happier place now, but who’s to say if that’s going to remain that way.”
