Mitch Pileggi has confirmed that FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner will be back for the X-Files miniseries shooting later this year.
David Duchovny had said on the David Letterman show that “Mitch Pileggi will come back, and the cigarette-smoking man — if that means anything to anyone — will be coming back,” and Pileggi himself tweeted “Very happy to announce that Walter Skinner will once again be getting all grumpy and bitchy with his two wayward kids. Very happy.”
Skinner initially appeared in the first season episode Tooms, and was last seen in the second X-Files movie, I Want to Believe.
