Warner Bros. have acted quickly following Michelle MacLaren’s departure from the prestigious Wonder Woman movie, after creative differences, appointing Patty Jenkins to direct the movie.
Jenkins directed Charlize Theron’s Monster, and was in line to direct Thor: The Dark World for Marvel before creative differences scuppered that appointment. Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, is set to begin filming this autumn, with the change of directors expected to be unlikely to cause any scheduling issues. The movie will be released in 2017, with Gadot debuting as the Amazonian in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice next year.
