Genre drama will continue to fly the flag on CBBC, with confirmation this week of Wolfblood’s fourth season, and news today that Eve will be returning for a second season of 13 episodes.
The series, created by Emma Reeves and David Chikwe, will return to the channel in early 2016, with Leopard Drama again handling production of the 30-minute show. The new season, set to begin shooting in Scotland this summer, will be accompanied by a Christmas special, due to broadcast at the end of this year.
Speaking to Sci-Fi Bulletin, Reeves said “I’m really thrilled that CBBC have made this commitment to Eve and her friends, and can’t wait to tell the next stage of Eve’s story. Thanks to our wonderful actors, writers and directors and the entire production team in Scotland, all of whom managed to create magic (sometimes against seemingly impossible odds). I don’t expect it to get easier, but we will continue to challenge ourselves to tell the most exciting stories we can our our budget. And thanks to everyone at CBBC for their talent and support.”
